Promoting your classes

< Onboarding

We actively promote the platform for you to find new students, but you can put all the chances on your side following our guidelines below.

Put all the chances on your side:

  • Provide the requested information on your profile page: we recommend you use a portrait photo and write a few short paragraphs about yourself. Get more help when creating your profile in our account guidelines
  • Add a video of you teaching from your teaching area to let new student know what to expect in a class with you. You can add a video link in your profile.
  • Keep the price low. £5, £6 and £7 are the most popular classes. Short classes are also popular!
  • Ask participants to leave a review after the class, they get an email from us after each class asking for a review.
  • Add the 💕 to your emojis to be part of the 2 for 1 promotion.
  • Make sure you contact your network regularly - even if people you know don't practise themselves, ask them to tell their friends and help spread the word. (Email or WhatsApp are better than social media to reach everyone for sure)
  • Opt for our Guru plan to get homepage visibility straight away
  • Are you teaching for a specific condition, a specific audience or a rare type of yoga? Let us know, and we can create a yoga type for you and help promote it.
  • If you don't have existing students, we recommend starting with one yoga class a week to maximise chances of having fuller classes
  • Pick a time that no other teacher already takes if possible
  • Connect your profile to your social media channels by using your profile page URL and promote your classes on social media like Instagram
  • Pick a day and time and stick to it - regularity is key for people to remember your classes
  • Find other ways than email or social media to promote your classes to your target audience, flyers at the local school for pregnancy classes or at your local shop or charity for senior classes...
  • Always create your classes before Sunday 11 am to be included in our weekly emails
  • Follow us on social media and interact with our posts. We'll do the same with yours :)
  • Do you teach in person? Tell your students about your online classes
  • Do you have a website? Display your Live Yoga Teachers schedule on your own website using our embedded feature. People visiting your site will be able to click and book.

Our marketing strategy to help everyone find more students

Here is what we are doing to bring visitors to the platform:

  • SEO: the platform is 100% SEO optimised, and we are targeting hundreds of keywords.
  • Social media: we promote teachers' profiles and classes to hundreds of followers on our social channels
  • Emailing: we email our platform database every Sunday at 11 am and send newsletters to prospects monthly (hundreds of qualified email addresses)
  • Online PR: we have a proactive PR strategy, and we monitor journalists requests to get coverage

How we promote your profile

As soon as your profile is published and your classes are created, your classes will be displayed on our website and available for anyone to book. They benefit straight away from our strong SEO traffic. Your classes are automatically added to our Sunday email to students who signed up with us.

We also use your profile information to create assets and add you to our social media and emailing campaigns. Please be patient as we do this on a first come first served basis, and we only create new assets once a month.

Your profile will be promoted regularly as long as you schedule classes with us.

It takes time to build an audience

Don't give up too quickly! Yoga has seasonal trends, with more demand in January and September, and less demand during school holidays. In the world of marketing it's being said that a person needs to see a brand 7 times before converting to a sale, so stick to your schedule and keep promoting, and with our help, you should be getting bookings soon.

How do you become a "Popular" or "On the rise" teacher?

"Popular" teachers had a lot of bookings during the past 6 months, and "On the rise" teachers are on their way to becoming popular.

By bookings we mean any type of booking, including your Discounted or Free voucher bookings, vouchers available in your teacher dashboard. The more bookings you get (whether they are free or paid), the more visibility you'll have on the website and the more bookings you'll get.

Corporate classes

On top of online group yoga classes, we've been organising corporate yoga classes since 2023.

When we receive a corporate request from a client, we will ask teachers for availability by email (and will need answers the same day) and we'll send the list of available teachers to the client for them to choose from.

We first prioritise teachers on a paid plan (Guru first, then Master), then we prioritise teachers who schedule online classes on the platform, and then we offer the opportunity to teachers who have provided all the requested profile information, a yoga diploma and an up to date insurance certificate.

We will send the client a list of links to teachers profiles for available teachers who have full profiles (portrait photo and a video included). Getting reviews for your online classes will help you get selected by clients

If you're interested in teaching corporate classes, let us know on your account by selecting "corporate classes", make sure you fully completed your profile and check your emails!
