Pregnancy Yoga - Open Level

Pregnancy Yoga with Ellie Bourne

Join me for a gentle and relaxing prenatal yoga class- the focus here on taking some time out for yourself whilst you move forward and navigate a new journey to motherhood.

Prenatal yoga can support in reducing tension, calming and soothing stresses and anxieties, a space for connection, improve sleep.

Classes focus on breathwork, lots of pelvic-centric movement, navigating the mind-body connection and focus on posture and strength (which will support postnatally). We will strengthen, stretch and balance and focus on self-care and non-judgement to practice.

No experience in Yoga is necessary. However, it is not recommended for students who are less than 12 weeks pregnant. Please be aware that students may be at different stages of pregnancy who take the class so there will be an emphasis on listening to your body and what it needs within the class (and paying attention to messages from our body when we may be pushing ourselves too far). Using modifications to support your practice are especially encouraged.

Some props that can be useful are Large gym Swiss balls (75cm are great!), small 9 inch pilates balls, spiky massage balls, blocks and straps. These are not mandatory but can be useful in supporting you through the class.

Having some pillows, bolsters and blankets can also be great to support a comfortable practice.

Please reach out with any specific concerns prior to class (pelvic pain, SPD, heartburn, nausea, etc.).
