Moving into Stillness - an embodied approach to meditation.

  • Relieve stress
  • relieve discomfort
  • Get out of your head and into your heart
  • feel at home in your body
  • Feel warm and at peace with yourself
  • feel a sense of calm

This is Mindfulness Meditation, suitable for beginners and those with more experience, this nourishing session is designed to bring you home to your body, your heart and the present moment. This session will leave you refreshed, centred and grounded ready for your evening.

This Yoga, movement and meditation class is accessible for most people and you need a warm space, blanket and some cushions. This hour is a beautiful way to start your evening. I use a range of resources including Energy Medicine and somatic movement to take us naturally into stillness and presence.

You will need:

  • a chair or ledge to stretch out to or to sit on depending on your ability to sit.
  • cushions or yoga blocks to support your hips or head when doing floor work.
  • a blanket for warmth
  • Cushions or yoga blocks to sit on for meditation or use your chair.

Our mindfulness practice will include awareness of our senses, embodied breath awareness, self compassion for all parts of ourselves, Tara Brach's RAIN, and Metta compassion.

At the end of the session you are invited to share your experience - whatever it is. However, you don't have to if you don't feel like it. Our meditation is relaxed in approach. and you can sit supported or lie down to meditate.
