Yelena Staniszewska
I am an experienced kids and adults Yoga Teacher (certified, DBS checked and insured), Mindfulness Practitioner, Tea Meditation Ritualist, Explorer of Ayurveda, Sound as healing modality and Spirituality that helps to enhance my understanding of Self, the connection to the Universe and the way back to One.
I offer personalised tutoring offline in West London and Surrey and online worldwide to elevate your practice, enrich your lives and find peace, tranquility and harmony through yoga.
Yoga rooted in a Sanskrit word "Yuj" meaning "to join" or "to yoke", or "to unite". And I am excited and motivated to show you how to introduce into your day to day life the tangible benefits of this beautiful Union of Body, Mind and Soul, of Breath and Energy, of strength and flexibility, of stability and letting go...
Come on a journey and let's see where it will take you!
I followed my heart and it led me to Yoga and Tea as my two main modalities for personal practice that started over 20 years ago (am I totally revealing my age now? :)) and since 2015 as a Way of Living by sharing these profound traditions with others.
For me, yoga is about finding space inside the physical, mental, and emotional bodies, so in addition to asanas (postures), we learn to breathe, meditate and relax, and this for a modern lifestyle can be even more useful than the movement itself, but without movement, it can be difficult to go into deep relaxation.
My certification was by “Yoga like Water”, which is why the practice is soft, thoughtful, aimed at listening to oneself, combining various elements and approaches.
It’s not Iyengar style, although there is a lot about the architectural alignment of poses, not Vinyasa, although there are also elements of fluidity and dynamics during the classes, not Hatha in its pure form because again it’s less about how to do it “correctly” and more about how we feel and how to move into, out of and within each pose, neither Kundalini yoga although some characteristic meditations and breathing practices may be present.
The structure of the Yoga classes that I offer will normally include physical asanas, breathing and meditation practices, and a relaxation phase in śavāsana at the end of the class interspersed with a bit of yoga philosophy, findings of modern science and healthy laughter.
I hope this gives you the confidence to reach out and give it a go. It is always best to try it first hand to understand how you can flow with it.
