Yoga On The Lane is a Dalston based respected yoga studio founded by Naomi Annand in 2012. After a career as a dancer, Naomi began teaching yoga full time in 2002. In 2012 she published ‘Yoga: a Manual for Life’, a beautiful book with extensive guides to poses and picture led sequences to guide home practice.
Situated on the corner of Shacklewell Lane with a dark black front, Yoga on the Lane is a contemporary vinyasa yoga studio, carefully designed by interior design firm Form and Story.

Yoga on the Lane prides themselves as being the most welcoming yoga studio in East London with a glorious heated floor that makes the studio snug and relaxing on even the coldest of winter nights. After class, the studio offers you the option to sit down with the other students for fruit and a cup of tea.
Up to 15 in-person classes a week
The studio currently has an average of 15 in-person classes per week and also offers online classes. The main focus is vinyasa yoga, but meditation and Pilates classes are also present through the timetable.
On the cost side, in-person classes are £15, Intro Offer of five classes for £35 (valid for one month for new members only), five-class card £65 (valid for two months), Ten Class Card (valid for three months) for £120.
Teachers and Teacher training
The studio currently counts nineteen teachers on its books. Naomi Annand leads a teaching team that includes the likes of James Hocke and a selection of other teachers from diverse backgrounds.
Yoga on the Lane also provides teacher training, and has trained more than 50 teachers to date. The studio is a Registered Yoga School 200 hours at Yoga Alliance (RYS 200). Their Teacher training begins in September with prices starting at £3200.
A reflexology studio is also available at the studio for massages and relaxing treatments and the café next door sometimes offers a lunch deal for those practicing at Yoga on the Lane.

On Google the studio averages a score of 4.8 out of 5 from over twenty reviews, many naming Yoga on the Lane as their favourite studio in London. There are over 500 reviews on MindBody, most of them very positive, however some do mention a crowded class, so it may be better to avoid evenings and weekends if you want space.
