3 FREE livestream recovery yoga classes after the London 2025 Marathon!
Following successful marathon recovery programs for the 2023 and 2024 London Marathons, we are delighted to organise a 3rd edition for the 2025 London Marathon on the 27th of April 2025.
Our Yoga Teacher for Runners, Yanar Alkayat, who run six marathons herself, will take you through 3 live-streamed recovery yoga sessions starting the day after the marathon, on Monday 28, Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 April at 9am for 30 minutes.
"Yoga is the best antidote to marathon training and recovery. Having run six marathons myself, I know firsthand the strain your body goes through – not just on race day, but throughout the months of preparation. Postures can be adapted to be gentle, somatically-led and mindful. When combined with breath awareness, yoga helps calm the nervous system, release deep tension and support full-body recovery. And you don’t need long – even a short session can restore balance and ease. Give it a try and see you on the mat!"

These gentle but targeted classes focus on full-body mobility and flexibility, with extra attention to the hips, quads, glutes, hamstrings, ankles and lower legs. The postures will stretch and release tight muscles and encourage circulation, closing with calming breathwork to soothe the nervous system after all the intensity of race day.
- Monday: Gentle floor-based postures to ease stiffness in the legs, hips and lower-back
- Tuesday: Introducing more flowing, full-body movements to boost circulation and support overall physical ease
- Wednesday: Deeper stretches to release tightness and improve recovery, mobility and range of motion
