This class is aimed at the over 50s with some previous yoga experience or anyone of any age wanting to practice more mindfully.

Classes are planned with a theme which we weave in to our practice to give it direction.

A typical class starts with a short relaxation or meditation to centre, we then practice gentle fluid movements inspired by Somatics to release, awaken, bringing in fluidity to prepare for more traditional asanas (postures), whilst being mindful of our breath, its quality, and our energy levels. We practice basic breathing or pranayama depending on the levels of students, relaxation and sometimes meditation.

II am a longstanding student of Yoga. After many years of practice, I qualified as a British Wheel of Yoga teacher (500 hours) Advanced Diploma, BWY Pranayama and Meditation modules. I am also a Somatic Movement Educator in the lineage of Thomas Hanna.
