Scaravelli- inspired yoga was life – saving for Tamsin, supporting her through her own recovery from a severe mental health condition. She highly recommends it to everyone to support mental health, as well as to feel strong and healthy in daily life.

Scaravelli-inspired yoga is a gentle and strengthening form of yoga that explores Hatha postures with preparations and breath awareness. It is a mindful practice, paying attention to gravity, the breath and how the body can move with less effort and in a functional way.

In these classes you’ll learn to feel grounded, improve your balance with strengthening postures, reduce stress through breathing techniques, quieten the mind and regulate the nervous system. This is a slow and gentle approach to movement with relaxation at the end of each class. Tamsin will offer alternatives and adaptions to ensure everyone can participate.

Yoga has a wealth of benefits, these include: reducing tension; improving joint flexibility, improving depressive symptoms, helping with sleep, reducing anxiety, reducing inflammation and boosting the immune system.

Tamsin has been practising Scaravelli - inspired yoga for 26 years and teaching for eight years around Sussex and her online class grew out of covid, teaching for the Workers Education Association. She’s taught people with a wide range of conditions, including a regular class for people affected by chronic fatigue.
