I trained in India over 10 years ago, learning from traditional yogis who didn’t just teach yoga, they lived it. Since then, I’ve taught hundreds of humans with all kinds of bodies, lifestyles, injuries, energy levels and reasons for stepping on the mat (everything from “I want to be more flexible” to “I’ve had a week and I just need to lie down”).
With a background in professional dance, I’ve always been drawn to the freedom and creativity of Vinyasa Flow. But what I’ve learned over the years is that every pose, from the fanciest backbend to the simplest forward fold, has value, especially when you understand what it’s doing for your body.
