Types of yoga

Indaba Yoga Studio opened in 2011 with a mission to bring a welcoming and positive attitude to yoga, respecting the ancient traditions but also embracing new styles. Classes cater to a wide range of practices from beginner to expert, energetic to restorative. They also offer pilates and meditation.

Beautiful and Friendly

Indaba prides themselves on being one of the most beautiful and friendly yoga studios in London, based centrally in Marylebone. Indaba believes in the positive benefits of yoga and the studio is built to encourage all-round wellbeing. Indaba is an ancient African term for gathering, a concept that’s at the heart of the studio's ethos, offering an opportunity to step away from daily life and reconnect with yourself and others.

Quality Facilities To Help You Relax

Plenty of care has been put into designing the facilities with changing rooms and showers complete with organic shampoos and conditioners. You can rent a fluffy towel at reception at a small cost and hair dryers are also provided. The studio asks that you don’t bring personal items in with you, so take a spare pound for the locker. Situated in Marylebone, they’re central but just outside the congestion zone.

Classes and Teacher Training

Indaba Yoga Studio offers a wide range of yoga including a few adventurous classes that lean towards a more athletic workout. They also offer varied workshops, teacher training and advanced teacher training. These courses are mostly online at the moment, although some teacher training can be done in person.

Many of the teachers are ex-dancers and the studio offers frequent workshops for those wanting to travel deeper with their practice. These are currently running online.

Mats are provided free of charge and under sixteens need to be accompanied by an adult. A single in-person class is £16, however, they offer several options to save with passes and multi-class purchases. Online classes are £10 with similar offers. Indaba's teacher training diploma is fully recognised and accredited by Yoga Alliance USA and prices start at £3,200.
